A VERY RARE MOORCROFT TRIAL VASE TO BE OFFERRED FOR SALE
An extremely rare Walter Moorcroft Trial vase is one of the star lots in Wincanton Auctions Sale of Saturday 10th October 2020
'After The Storm ' is renowned to be one of the finest landscape designs of the Moorcroft factory and was designed by Walter Moorcroft to celebrate the Moorcroft Centenary in 1997.
A limited edition of 200, 52cm tall vases featuring the design of a tree against a backdrop of a landscape of approaching storm clouds were produced of which the vase to be sold is even rarer being a trial vase of which only a handful were believed to be made at a height of 32cm.
Signed by Walter Moorcroft with company markings on the base the vase is expected to generate a great deal of interest from Moorcroft collectors worldwide looking to add a signature piece to their collection.
Viewing of the vase will take place at Wincanton Auctions Saleroom on Thursday 8th October and Friday 9th October from 10am until 5pm and on Saturday 10th October from 9am-10:30am. The auction starts at 10:30am on Saturday 10th and bidding will be available live online through the Easy Live Auction system with registration available through Wincanton Auctions website at www.wincantonauctions.com.
